What KeepMyCar is
KeepMyCar is a private log book for used and high-mileage cars. It keeps your service history, tells you what the car needs next, and reminds you before it is due — no account, and everything stays on your iPhone.
You add the records yourself: work done by an independent mechanic, a local shop, a dealer, or in your own driveway. KeepMyCar does not import service history from dealerships or vehicle-history networks. It gives you one place for the dates, mileage, costs, notes and receipt photos you choose to keep, and one screen that says what is overdue, due soon, or worth a closer look.
What you can do
- Keep several cars in one garage, each showing what it needs at a glance
- Get a maintenance list from your car's profile: oil and filter, brake fluid, coolant, transmission service, spark plugs, air filter
- Read every item in plain English — "due in 3 weeks", "6 months overdue", or up to date
- Log service done by any mechanic, shop, dealer, or by you, with the date, mileage, cost, notes and a receipt photo
- Close a maintenance cycle in one tap with "Done today"
- Set your own interval on any item, in months or in miles, or add an item of your own
- Keep documents with expiry dates — insurance, inspection, registration — and be reminded before they run out
- Save your mechanics and parts stores with their phone numbers, and call them from the app
- Work in miles or kilometres

The log book
Record a drive with its distance and odometer readings, attach a photo of the fuel receipt, and let the app work out the closing odometer from the distance you entered. Share one trip as text, or export the whole log book as a spreadsheet with the car's details and its totals. Entries are yours to write: KeepMyCar does not detect drives and does not use GPS or location.
Reminders
KeepMyCar can remind you on your iPhone before a service or a document is due. Reminders stay on the device, are kept few and useful, and it is your choice whether to turn them on at all.
Your records stay with you
No account, no login, nothing to sign up for. Your cars, service records, trips, notes and photos are stored on your iPhone, and KeepMyCar does not upload your vehicle or service data. Export your service history and your log book as spreadsheets, or take a full backup file you keep yourself and can load back later.
Built for used and high-mileage cars
A car that has passed through several owners rarely comes with a tidy history. KeepMyCar is for the owner building that record from here on — whoever did the work, and whatever the odometer says.

The maintenance list is general time- and mileage-based guidance, not a manufacturer-specific schedule. Always check your owner's manual, or ask a qualified mechanic about your specific car.
